November 5 - No Visit Sunday

Since yesterday was Sunday we couldn’t visit the baby house. Our translator explained this to Hope and reassured her that we would come to visit the next day. Since we didn’t have any errands to do today and couldn’t go to the baby house, we had lots of time to finally get ourselves a little more organized in the apartment. Up to this point, we had been mostly living out of suitcases and we hadn’t done laundry since we’d been here because we couldn’t figure out the washing machine without some explanation. After we got all the suitcases unloaded, figured out where to put everything (lots of hanging space, but not much drawer or shelf space, which we need more), and vacuumed again, things looked much better in the apartment. Some pictures of the apartment and our view from the balcony are below.

After we got ourselves organized and had some lunch we headed over to the large park with the 2 big playgrounds that we had seen this summer. Tim is slowly learning to deal with having to walk to get anywhere. We did bring the sit-n-stand stroller, but we make him hoof it for a while before he can ride. By the time we walked to the park, probably a couple of miles, and he played, we let him ride the whole way home. It didn’t take him long to fall asleep. Boy is that stroller heavy with 2 kids in it! Mike is certainly getting a workout pushing it and getting it up and down all the curbs. We just hope it doesn’t fall apart before we get home!

A picture from the park in November. It definitely loses some of it's cheerfulness when they pull out the flowers.
